Morro was the Elemental Windmaster, and the leader of the phantom warriors under his master command. Found by Wu Sensei when he was a child and was trained as the first pupil of his master, he became determined to prove the wrong fate after he was denied the title of Green Ninja. After leaving Wu in search of his fate, Morro perished in the caves of despair in search of the tomb of the First Master Spinjitzu and his spirit was banished to the Cursed realm as a result of previous actions. During the second Serpentine War when Garmadon was banished to the damned kingdom in an effort to free the Anacondrai Generals, Morro managed to escape his seemingly eternal confinement. With the intention of finding the Crystal Kingdom hidden in the tomb of the first Master Spinjitzu, Morro took possession of Lloyd Garmadon, as only a Master Spinjitzu could locate the tomb. He then embarked on a quest to find the tomb, during which Azure's allied armor was used to conjure allies of the Cursed Kingdom at will. After a long journey, Morro managed to obtain the Crystal Kingdom, which was used to free his master in an effort to curse the Sixteen Kingdoms.

With The Preeminent in Ninjago, Morro fought Lloyd in a battle that lasted as they traveled through several different realms. When Nya unlock her true potential, the preeminent sank into the endless sea, pulling those out of it into the water. Morro managed to evade temporarily using his element of the wind until it was captured by a tentacle, to which Sensei Wu tried to save him. Morro finally accepted his help, but realized he was beyond saving - and he let go of Sensei's hand, giving him the realm crystal as he sank into the sea and dissolved.
